10 July 2023: Daniel Petrov, an accomplished chartered engineer, professional engineering technologist, esteemed member of the South African Institution of Civil Engineering (SAICE), and Managing Director (MD) of Peikko South Africa, has been awarded the prestigious title of Fellow at SAICE. This distinction serves as a testament to Petrov’s outstanding achievement and extensive professional experience in the civil engineering field.
The Fellow title is bestowed on corporate members of SAICE, who have demonstrated notable recognition in the engineering profession. These individuals exhibit remarkable initiative, responsibility, and extensive professional experience.

Petrov’s impressive educational background includes a BSc in Civil/Structural Engineering from UAC Sofia, Bulgaria, and a Master’s degree in Engineering Management from RAU, Johannesburg. These qualifications, coupled with his vast experience, have solidified his reputation as an esteemed professional in the field of engineering.
Since his appointment as MD at Peikko SA in 2018, Petrov has been instrumental in overseeing all aspects of the company’s business operations. His strategic vision has driven sustainable growth while ensuring the overall performance of the organisation remains at its peak.
With over 33 years of industry experience, Petrov is widely recognised for his ability to provide invaluable engineering advice and technical solutions on projects utilizing Peikko products and systems.
