03 Jun Great news for structural engineers and designers! Version 1.2 of Peikko Designer® BOLTED CONNECTION software is now available
3 June 2024: Peikko South Africa, local representatives of the global Peikko Group Corporation, has announced the availability of their latest version of Peikko Designer® BOLTED CONNECTION tool, a module in the cloud based Peikko Designer® software portfolio that assists structural engineers and designers in selecting of the right Peikko pre-cast connection elements for their construction projects.
Peikko Designer® modules allow designers to easily select the optimal Peikko product for any kind of structure or connection and users always benefit from the latest features of the online tools, as being cloud based, the modules update automatically.
While access to Peikko Designer® is free to use by registered users, the online modules can be used even without registering.
An essential companion to its range of innovative construction products and hardware, Peikko Designer® BOLTED CONNECTION V1.2 will appeal to precasters, building contractors, developers, flooring specialists, machine manufacturers, power plant designers, architects, and structural designers, allowing them free access to the module. No installation or download is necessary, meaning that users receive the latest automatic updates while benefiting from the advantages of Peikko’s comprehensive solutions.
The new features include:
- Project data is now automatically saved at short intervals.
- You can view the protrusion height, effective height, and concrete cover of the anchors.
- Report page has been completely renewed for improved usability.
- Detailed concrete failure calculation results can be added in PDF printouts, which have more finalized design.
- Detailed results include tooltips explaining the parameters used in failure calculations.
- Units utilized in the software have been added both to the user interface and PDF printouts.
- Performance of concrete failure verifications has been further enhanced.
Additionally, the interaction surface, represented by 3D onion slices in joint failure, has been improved for better visualization.
