27 Jul Peikko prepares to embrace opportunities in Africa’s growing economies
July 2022: Now in their fourth year since entering the South African market, Peikko South Africa MD Daniel Petrov reports that the company is primed to expand its reach into other African countries.
While South Africa remains one of Africa’s largest economies (currently third by GDP), there are great opportunities for Peikko products to be used in other African markets with growing infrastructure needs. This is because the company provides innovative construction solutions, meaning it offers serious efficiency improvements for countries which need to keep pace with a growing society.
“We are proud to report that our initial expansion efforts into Kenya have been met with great success. We are currently busy with a large warehouse development in Niarobi. The clients were happy with our solutions, and we have another project in the pipeline for 2022, this time an office plus factory,” explains Petrov.
“We learned that having feet on the ground and a strong partner network is key for successful expansion. Our Kenyan counterparts have been invaluable to us, and we are now looking at similar opportunities in other African countries.”
