SAICE signs MOU with Infrastructure South Africa at 2024 SIDSSA Symposium

26 March 2024: The South African Institution of Civil Engineering (SAICE) is pleased to announce the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Infrastructure South Africa (ISA) at the 2024 Sustainable Infrastructure Development Symposium South Africa (SIDSSA). The signing took place at the Century City Conference Centre, in Cape Town, marking a significant milestone in the collaboration between the two entities.

The MOU solidifies the commitment of both SAICE and ISA to work closely together in various areas of infrastructure planning and development. Key areas of interest identified under this agreement include capacity building, developing infrastructure indices, and conducting research projects aimed at enhancing the nation’s infrastructure landscape.

Speaking on this partnership, Sekadi Phayane-Shakhane, CEO of SAICE, said, “This MOU signifies a pivotal moment for both SAICE and ISA. By joining forces, we are poised to drive meaningful change in the infrastructure sector, addressing critical challenges and seizing opportunities for sustainable development.”
