29 Sep SAICE welcomes new ECSA CEO Dr Bridget Ssamula
29 September 2022 The South African Institution of Civil Engineering (SAICE) would like to congratulate and welcome Dr Bridget Ssamula as the newly appointed CEO of the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA). The ECSA council has appointed the highly accomplished Dr Ssamula, who’ll begin her tenure as ECSA CEO on the 1st of November 2022.
SAICE supports Dr Ssamula in her new position and commends ECSA on its continuous efforts to foster inclusivity and diversity through progressive leadership within the organisation and industry. In partnership with the ECSA President, Mrs Refilwe Buthelezi, SAICE is confident that the built environment will continue to grow and thrive.
We at SAICE are particularly excited about the appointment of Dr Ssamula as she is an advocate for young engineers’ development, stemming from her passion for academics and her experience. We look forward to her insights and contributions from her over twenty-three years of experience in the built environment.
SAICE would also like to thank the outgoing acting CEO, Mr Edmund Nxumalo, for contributing to the industry during his tenure. Mr Nxumalo has always shown much support and partnership with SAICE, providing great insights and participation in our initiatives and we would like to wish him the best for his on-going endeavours.
