18 Mar SWM Strategy and Growth Session
SWM Communications understands the value proposition of business development, which is why the SWM team, including our Cape Town staff, recently engaged in our bi-annual Strategy and Growth Session on Thursday, 4 March.
The meeting was run by Sakhile Mkwanazi, from Grow Business Coaching, who kept the team on track, aligning all our discussions towards key actions that would enable our business for greater growth and an even greater service delivery offering to our clients. And yes, Sakhile did ensure that every team member came prepared for the session with each one of us tasked with tactical strategy homework!
The session also included a strong focus on our staff, as well as their goals for the year ahead. Their valuable insight on internal and external business and organisational issues helped shape the conversations to move us forward with the necessary steps required to execute our growth strategy.
But it was not a day of “all work and no play”, as the team had the opportunity to engage with each other face-to-face after a long year of successful remote working, as well as meeting our new team members.
The full day session encompassed a cultural theme in celebration of our diverse team. The venue was decorated with an Eastern inspiration by AMP group, who made an eclectic dining table and workspace filled with intricate details throughout. Our lunch was catered by Gopi & Asta’s Delights, who curated a wonderful vegan-based, Indian feast that the entire team enjoyed. It would not be an SWM Communications strategy session without a visit from photographer Dave Hann, who captured our team portraits and photos for our ever-growing complement of staff members.
The day was indeed an insightful and productive one for everyone involved, and we have paved the road ahead for 2021 with strategic individual, team and company objectives.
